History ferry Schulpengat (1990-2007)
The old ferries Marsdiep / Texelstroom where ought to be replaced by the end of the 1980s, so TESO ordered a second car ferry with two car decks. The first ferry of this type,Molengat, entered service in 1980. The newly order ferry, Schulpengat, was significantly larger. In 2007 Schulpengat received an upgrade, after which the yellow shaded livery was repainted.
